The report says pregnant woman and children were suffering from severe malnutrition in Thar

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A report pertaining to the deaths of children in Thar has been submitted in the Supreme Court.

In today’s proceedings, judicial assistant Faisal Siddiqui said that many reports have been submitted but none have been implemented.

According to report, everything is fine and the documental work has been completed. As many as 70 positions have been vacant for the last four years.

The report further said that the pregnant woman and children were suffering from severe malnutrition in Thar, while the government has announced to distribute 50kg wheat in every house for three months in 513 affected areas.

More than 42000 patients had been treated during the period from October 14 to November 2, while two percent profit of the Thar Foundation had also been spent on the development of Thar.

Sindh Advocate General said that the doctors were not ready to be appointed to backward area to which Justice Sajjad Ali Shah how many doctors refused offer of working in Thar.

The Sindh Advocate General said that he would present a list of doctors and medical practitioners within three days in the court.

The court then adjourned the hearing for an indefinite period.
